Unified Staffing Structure for Athletics in Tasmania

Published Thu 24 Jul 2025

Over the past season, a comprehensive review has been undertaken by the Boards of Little Athletics Tasmania and Athletics Tasmania, in collaboration with former CEO Blake Steele. This work focused on identifying how our staff and office operations can better support our communities across both organisations.

As a result, both Boards have endorsed the implementation of a unified staffing structure designed to serve Little Athletics and Athletics Tasmania collectively. This streamlined approach aims to reduce duplication, optimise resources, and enhance the quality of service provided to our valued stakeholders.

The newly aligned team includes:

Chief Executive Officer – Glen Taylor (Full Time)

Manager, Operations and Community – Teresa Hatten (Full Time)

Development & Pathways Coordinator – Brandon Clark (Full Time)

Competition & Events Coordinator – Zane Patmore (Full Time)

Administration & Finance Officer - Jack Hale (Part Time)

While staff members have already commenced in their respective roles, the transition to this new structure will continue gradually over the coming weeks. Importantly, our dedicated volunteers remain essential to the success of athletics in Tasmania. In the coming weeks, we will engage in consultation to determine how staff can best support these invaluable contributors to our sport.

Additionally, we’ll be shifting to a single contact phone number, and each staff member will have a single email address.

It is important to note that this change relates solely to staffing. Staff will continue to support both Little Athletics Tasmania and Athletics Tasmania, and no further changes are proposed.
