All Schools 2021 State Team Announced

2021 Athletics Tasmania All Schools Track and Field Team

Athletics Tasmania has selected a virtual team of 105 student-athletes from 37 Tasmanian Schools as part of the 2021 Athletics Tasmania All Schools Track and Field Championships.

Athletes selected in the virtual team will receive an individual race bib in late December from Athletics Australia, acknowledging selection in each State/Territory All Schools Virtual Teams.

Members of the Athletics Tasmania team will be invited to compete in their selected event(s) at the following rounds of Interclub:-

• Northern Athletics Tasmania (St Leonards)     Wednesday      24^th November 2021
• Athletics South (Domain)                                    Saturday           27^th November 2021
• Northwest Athletics (Penguin)                           Saturday           27^th November 2021

Athletes competing in these events are not required to be current members of Athletics Tasmania or a Club. They will be invitational athletes in recognition of their selection in the team.  Athletes can choose which events they may wish to participate in subject to each Interclub Timetable.

The selection criteria for Australian All Schools is up to four athletes per event in the U16 and U18 Age Groups and two athletes per event in U14.

For Under 18, two athletes must be 17 years and two athletes 16 years. In Under 16, two athletes must be 15 years and two athletes 14 years. Age is determined as at the 31st December 2021. Athletics Tasmania is also not required to fill all places in all age groups
