Welcome to our Coach Network Forum

Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR) is pleased to announce the final Coach Network Forum for 2021.

After the disruption of COVID-19 during 2020, CSR is promoting learning opportunities for state sporting organisation coaching directors, development officers and community coaches in Tasmania to access guest presenters delivering workshops across a range of key sporting topics.

The Coach Network Forum format will see two guest presenters deliver specific themes to assist coaches and promote a vibrant and inclusive sport and recreation sector in Tasmania.

Our guest speakers are;

Jenni McLeod, AusCycling

Jenni is a board member with AusCycling and is the board champion for establishing its diversity and inclusion group. In 2017 she founded "Shredding Betties", Australia's first women's specific affiliated mountain bike club to connect, support and inspire women and girls with the aim of increasing female participation.

Topic: Increasing participation and the retention of women and girls in sport

Jon Fletcher, Coach and Coach Educator

Jon is a highly regarded netball coach and coach educator in Tasmania and has also worked in various state and institute coaching positions in the NT, ACT, WA and NSW.
He also spent time coaching at the Australian Institute of Sport and was the first male appointed as Head Coach of the Hunter Jaegers in the National Netball League.

Topic: Attracting and developing more female coaches in sport

Please share our Coach Network Forum details with coaches and sport administrators within your networks who are strongly encouraged to attend this event.
