Eligibility for the 2022 Track and Field Nationals

The Domain Athletics Centre hosts the 2022 Athletics Tasmanian State Track and Field Championships this weekend.
Based on performances over the current track and field season and at the state championships this weekend, you may be eligible to nominate to be part of the 2022 AT state team for the 2022 Track and Field Nationals.
The 2022 Track and Field Nationals are held at Sydney Olympic Park between 26th March and 3rd April. Details are available on the Athletics Australia Website: 2022 Australian Track & Field Championships | Athletics Australia
To be able to nominate and represent the Athletics Tasmania State Team at the 2022 Track and Field Nationals, you must:
- Be a registered Athletics Tasmania athlete.
- Achieve top 3 placing in your event at the upcoming AT track and field state champs this weekend even if you do not meet the National Entry Standard
- Have achieved National Entry Standard for your event (in an Athletics Tasmania competition – not Little Athletics competition) and competed at interclub at least once this season.
If you have met the above criteria, you can nominate via the Athletics Tasmania website portal. Yvette Edward, the State Team Coordinator for Athletics Tasmania, will be at the Domain this weekend to answer questions and provide information about the AT state team for the 2022 track and field Nationals. Please come to the AT function centre from 2 pm – 3 pm if you want to know more. The Athletics Tasmania team uniform will also be available to try on if you require a competition uniform to compete at the Nationals.
