Brilliant Bottle Shines In Melbourne

Northern Tasmania race walker Will Bottle was at his brilliant best in Melbourne on Sunday with a win in the Men's Under 18 5km race walk.
The 5km event was part of the Australian and Oceania 35km Race Walk Championships, held at Faulkner Park in inner- Melbourne. Seventeen-year-old Bottle's time of 22:01 was 3 secs off the National record (21:58.00 Will Thompson, Vic). While in Melbourne, Will also met with Australian race walker and Olympic gold medallist (London 2012), Jared Tallent OAM.
Coached by James Anderson, Bottle is a member of the Newstead Athletics Club.
