2021 Easter Marathon

Runners of all abilities are preparing for the upcoming running festival to be held in Hobart on Sunday 4th April, which has traditionally been held in January.

The event is one of Tasmania’s most popular sporting events, offering a range of racing distances from 1km, through to the traditional marathon and regularly attracts 2500 participants.

With 2021 being the 38th running of the event, and with it being scheduled at Easter, it is fitting that this years’ event will now be called the 2021 Easter Marathon.

“It has been a challenging period on a number of fronts, and it is exciting that Hobart will again host the 2021 Easter Marathon” said Athletics Tasmania Executive Officer Glenn Turnor.

“It might have a new name and date, but it’s the same great course that thousands have enjoyed over the years and we’ll definitely be providing that great Tasmanian hospitality on event day,” Turnor added.”

Like with many public events and activities, the 2021 Marathon may be subject to further restrictions and conditions as we head towards a COVID normal. Athletics Tasmania will continue to work hard to ensure the 38th running of this event is as popular and successful as ever.

Entries for the 2021 Easter Marathon are now open with early entries closing on 4th March.
